Apollo

As part of the Intaglios collection, the “Apollo” fountain pen derives its inspiration from the rich legends of Greek and Roman mythology. Many notable scenes were carved into precious gems by master engravers, who were revered for their outstanding craftsmanship. These miniature artworks were used for representing the bearer’s identity, bestowing good fortune, or simply to captivate one’s gaze with their astounding intricacies.

The images depicted on the pen are of Apollo, god of the sun, light, and music. The first scene Apollo is portrayed holding his iconic symbol, the lyre. Below is a famous scene showing the God with the nymph, Daphne, who he had been smitten by after being struck by Eros’ (Cupid) bow.
